• Examine environmental and social conditions that affect the performance of agroforestry systems
• Explore roles for agroforestry in natural resources conservation and sustainable agricultural development
• Learn about innovative strategies for advancing agroforestry knowledge and practice in tropical and temperate contexts

This course offers an in-depth examination of recent advances in agroforestry research and development. Special topics and case studies will be presented by pre-eminent professionals in the rapidly expanding field of agroforestry. Students and faculty will meet weekly to discuss and evaluate material shared through readings and presentations, from various disciplinary and management perspectives. Students will research and prepare individual or group presentations based on topics of their choice.
