	Tom is working with two cooperators in Delaware County, New York.
Ron Frisbee is a small farmer who raises beef cattle and manages a sugar bush. He also teaches conservation and a maple course at a nearby Boces program. Tom is working with Ron to plant improved sugar maples in the gaps of a sugar bush that has been tapped for the last approximately 80 years (see photos below).

Tom is also working with Duane Lafever, who runs an excavation contracting company, and is a private forest owner and maple producer, to start a crop tree management demonstration plot. Duane was looking into his options for managing his forested land for improved maple production and decided to experiment with the crop tree program.
