Invasive Non-Native Forest Pest Conference
October 30, 2008
Ramada Inn, Ithaca, NY 14850

This one day conference will focus on three of the most important invasive non-native forest insect pests in the Northeast: Hemlock Wooly Adelgid, Emerald Ash Borer, and Asian Longhorned Beetle. These insects pose tremendous threats and may change the composition and function of our forests forever. The conference will feature a group of 14 experts that will examine the impacts, issues, and current research, as well as discuss management options and examine the potential ecological impact these pests will have on the regions forests. If you’ve been wondering what the regions forests might look like when these insects take hold you’re not alone. This is the perfect opportunity to develop management options based on the knowledge of some of the nation’s top experts in the field.
