New York Association of Natural Resource Extension Professionals

1) Professional Development
Goal: further opportunities for professional development and training for extension professionals statewide.

Products: organize events/speakers on topics of interest at the annual ACCEE conference. Pursue cross-disciplinary programs and events that allow collaboration with other extension-wide associations.

2) Recognize and Promote Excellence
Goal: recognize natural resource and environmental extension professionals in the state for their accomplishments by providing awards in the following categories:

Products:
a) Program Excellence Award – for programs that exemplify positive impacts on the environment
b) Campus/County Connection Award - programs that integrate campus faculty/research with county needs
c) Innovative Outreach Award – for programs that show innovation in ways that audiences are reached.

3) Strengthening Extension Natural Resource and Environment Programs in NYS
Goal: develop and sustain natural resource and environment programs in light of challenges faces statewide by campus and county extension programs,

Products:
(a) Pursue talks with key stakeholders on campus and throughout the state to encourage and support programs that address natural resource and environment issues.
(b) Recruit members to ANREP and provide networking opportunities.
(c) Develop a Web site to inform members and partners about our organization.
