Richard Baer joined the Department of Natural Resources in 1974. He
conducts research in ethics, environmental ethics, religion,
and the philosophy of eductation.
Research
Current research examines: (1) how ethics can be taught equitably in
a democratic, pluralistic society, (2) the
place of religiously grounded
ethics in forming public policy, (3)
Diversity of ideas and values in K-12 and in
higher education.
