Ph.D - Queen's University - 1990
B.S. - St. Lawrence University - 1981

Evan Cooch joined the Department of Natural Resources in 1998. He conducts research on the application of theoretical and quantitative methods to the management and conservation of natural resources. Particular interests include population modeling, statistical ecology, and theoretical ecology.

Research

His current research includes (i) analysis of disease dynamics in a model bird species, (ii) analysis of non-linear methods for assessment of coupling and information exchange, and (iii) patch-selection among obligate herbivores, and (iv) optimal harvesting of structured populations.
