Gary R. Goff

- 1979 Gary Goff joined the Department of Natural Resources in 1980 as an Extension Associate responsible for the Renewable Resources Extension Program. His areas of expertise are in Forest Management, Silviculture, Wildlife Habitat Enhancement, and Extension Education. Extension His current work includes: 1) Directorship of NY Master
Forest Owner/COVERTS volunteer program, 2) Research and extension project
involving inventory techniques of exotic invasive plants at CU’s
Arnot Forest, 3) Quality Deer Management (QDM) at the Arnot Forest, 4)
Community-based biodiversity and habitat conservation, 5) Dept. 4-H Program
Leader, 6) Assessing and mitigating deer impacts at a landscape scale
with an integrated research and extension education program 7) Linking
under-served forest owners to assistance for enhanced environmental sustainability
and 8) in-service training to extension educators and professional natural
resource managers.
