Tony VanDeValk joined the Department of Natural Resources as part of the staff at the Cornell Biological Field Station in 1987. His early work, under the supervision of Dr. Dave Green, focused on fish population dynamics in warmwater systems throughout New York State. In 1990, he shifted to the long term monitoring program on Oneida Lake under the direction of Dr. John Forney. He continues to spend most of his research efforts focusing on population dynamics and predator-prey interactions in Oneida Lake under the supervision of Drs. Lars Rudstam and Randy Jackson.
