• Continued visits with natural resource managers at parks. Parks visited this quarter: Kirsten and Dan: MABI and SARA.
• Revised report of Phase I research based on feedback from managers interviewed. Report includes conceptual framework for future research and can be accessed through projects section of website. Further comments are welcome.
• Attended public scoping meeting at Catoctin Mountain Park.
• Began draft of methodology and complete study plan for Phases II and III of research.
• Began draft of manuscript on the relationship between conception of "community" and approaches to participation.
• Held two meetings with full dissertation special committee to review progress to date and to establish schedule for A-exams.

• Dan to spend January and February working with BRMD in Fort Collins:
• Work with Margaret to explore human dimensions questions associated with management of CWD.
• Work with several BRMD staff to develop more fully a symposium on Wildlife Habituation, slated for the TWS 2005 Annual meeting in Madison, WI.
• Continue to work on logistics and process for affiliating Cornell University with one or more CESUs.
• Kirsten to visit BRMD January 17-28:
• Consultation with other NPS advisors on progress to date.
• Review of draft study plan for Phase II and III research.
• Presentation of ideas for manuscript on the relationship between conception of "community" and approaches to participation.
• Finalize Issue Evolution Model: possibly submit to George Wright Forum.
• Kirsten to complete written and oral A-examinations.
• Kirsten to present research to date at George Wright Society meeting.
