Student Products

The course is divided into 2 modules providing an opportunity to explore the application of market logic to natural resources management and conservation in varied settings. Module 1 focuses on working landscapes - an increasingly important development logic in which incentives for environmental conservation are generated by economic dependence on natural-resource-based enterprises (comparative advantage of firms and regions rests on ecological integrity). Module 2 focuses on relevance of market principles and competitive strategies for natural resource conservation applied to industry and the built environment. Each module invites students, in groups, to undertake research on a specific environmental strategy or relevant policy issue.
