NTRES 431: ENVIRONMENTAL STRATEGIESDescription | Course Resources | Student Products | Relevant Links |
|
Student ProductsThe course is divided into 2 modules providing an opportunity to explore the application of market logic to natural resources management and conservation in varied settings. Module 1 focuses on working landscapes - an increasingly important development logic in which incentives for environmental conservation are generated by economic dependence on natural-resource-based enterprises (comparative advantage of firms and regions rests on ecological integrity). Module 2 focuses on relevance of market principles and competitive strategies for natural resource conservation applied to industry and the built environment. Each module invites students, in groups, to undertake research on a specific environmental strategy or relevant policy issue. The names of the individuals responsible for specific contributions are found within each document. Do not reproduce these documents without written consent from authors of individual reports.
